• Collaborating with Nanoscale Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab (NICS) in performing 3D perception for autonomous vehicles.
• Supervisor: Prof Yu Wang

• Working closely with the Microelectronics Department in developing a battery management system to be used in electric buses.
• Assigned to help on estimating the SOC of lithium-ion battery.
• The SOC is estimated with Extended Kalman Filter with RMS Error of <1.5%.
• STM32 is able to provide near real-time of SOC estimation through the identified parameter table.
• Hybrid CCM-EKF SOC estimation algorithm is proposed and flashed into STM32 Nucleo board and able to achieve refresh rate of 1Hz and accuracy of 99%.

• Collaborated with TrafficSens in completing the project "Traffic Prediction using Machine Learning".
• This project has won the best project among 26 teams in Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya.
• The trained prediction model is able to detect various vehicles with accuracy up to 90% given the angle of image taken is slanted.

• Working under the supervision of Assoc Prof Ir. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang with the title "Chili Quality and Ripeness Grading using Convolutional Neural Network", and the title "Traffic Prediction with Machine Learning" with a team of 4.
• The chili quality and ripeness detection can achieve an accuracy of > 98% with model size smaller than 5MB.
• The traffic prediction model could potentially helps in reducing traffic congession by controlling the traffic light timer based on the estimated traffic flow.

• Working on 3D point cloud object detection for road traffic counter.

This internship is done in partnership with Sichuan University of Science & Engineering (Yibin School District), as part of compulsory internship for the degree.

• The internship comprised of two different sections:
  • The first four weeks of the internship was about SMT Inspection, where I was taught how to understand a complexsmartphone schematic diagram, and diagnosed the faulty part accordingly.
  • The next six weeks of the internship was about Android Development. I was tasked to customise a launcher for a specific region, of which I learnt about AOSP, and how to flash AOSP on a new phone.

This is a compulsory internship program for Yayasan Telekom Malaysia scholar. The internship was done during my second year of degree.
I was exposed to various technology the company have to provide, including:

• Access Network Delivery (AND)
• Core Network & Facility Delivery (CNFD)
• Business Function and Financial Management (BFFM)
• Fulfillment and assurance of network and various ITNT related departments.
